The NHS Scotland Gender Reassignment Protocol sets out the treatment pathway from initial enquiry to completion and enables the patient to have a say in decisions about their healthcare.
Any treatment for gender dysphoria in Scotland should follow the protocol.
Within our Practices, please tell us how we can help you. For example, please tell us your preferred calling name, title and pronouns. As well as our staff, our automated patient calling system uses these when patients are called to a consultation room. We will do our best to respect these at all times.
When it comes to the time to change your official name and title on records our team can assist you with this. Further information is available on the NHS Inform website below.
