Advice:
As well as offering eyesight tests and glasses, your local optician is also able to help with most medical eye problems and emergencies. They can even refer you to an eye specialist at the hospital directly if needed.
Contact your optician to arrange a medical eye appointment
Make sure that you let the optician’s receptionist know if you think it is an emergency as they will arrange urgent help for you.
Eye emergencies include a sudden loss of vision, blurred vision, painful or red eyes and sudden flashes and floaters.
