Pregnancy

Who do I see?

Midwife / GP / Sexual Health Clinic

Advice:

Contacting the Midwife promptly will help to make sure you receive antenatal care that takes into account all your health needs and preferences. You can book an appointment directly with the Midwife without needing to see a GP as soon as you know that you’re pregnant. You should do this within the first 10 weeks of your pregnancy and you can do this by sending a request to us online or by letting us know on 0345 337 1120. Further information about antenatal care is available here.

If you have any problems before your booking appointment with the midwife, please submit an online request for help (or call us on 0345 337 1120) and give us as much information as you can. You will get a call back from a clinician on the same day. Alternatively, you can call the early pregnancy assessment unit at Dr Gray’s Hospital directly by calling 01343 567220.

If you have had an unplanned pregnancy and want to consider your options including having a termination of pregnancy you can book an appointment with a GP who will support you with whatever you decide Please submit an online request for help (or call us on 0345 337 1120) and let us know that you have had an unplanned pregnancy, the date of your last period, and want to consider your options. Alternatively, you can call the sexual health clinic directly on 01224 655535 Monday to Friday 9.00am – 2.00pm. A service operates from Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin.
