Rashes

Who do I see?

Community Pharmacy / Forres Treatment and Care Hub / GP

Advice:

The definition of a rash is very wide and covers any abnormality of the skin. Many rashes are short-lived and innocent, some can rarely be a sign of a more serious disease.

Your community pharmacist is a good place to get advice about a rash as they will usually be able to see you right away. They may also be able to give you over-the-counter treatments for your rash.

If you have been advised by the pharmacy to speak to the Practice about your rash, please submit an online medical consultation request for the GP Clinical Team giving us as much information about your problem as you can. Please take and attach clear photographs of your rash. We may be able to give you advice and treatment online or will respond with an offer of an appointment with a GP or other suitable clinician to assess your problem further.

For further advice and guidance please visit NHS Inform.

If you cannot use the online service please call us on 0345 337 1120 and a member of the care navigation team will help you.
